Mum and I had come across some new lodges for sale at a place called Whitehill Country Park. We had no intention of buying one but what is the harm in looking eh? So off we set down a mostly single track down a country lane towards Stoke Gaberiel to look at them.
The lodges are excellent. We had a look around 5 different designs and took lots of pictures. If I had the money I'd certainly buy one as it would be a great investment to let out. The site they are on is surrounded my rolling hills and has a swimming pool, bar/restaurant, shop, children's play area etc.
We spent a good 90 minutes or so having a look around before he headed towards Brixham. Brixham always brings back many memories of my childhood as we used to always go to Brixham. It was pouring with rain but we had a look around and visited our favourite shops as well as having a walk around the fishing harbour.
We came back to eat at Beverley. We had intended to eat at Ashvale but the restaurant was shut so burger at Beverley it was. After that we went to Torquay as mum wanted to buy a top she had seen. My purchase in Evans of half a dozen pairs of knickers was not very exciting.
The rain put a dampener on our plans for this evening really. We were going to go up the clubhouse but all of preferred to stay in again. I read a fair bit of my book (Ben Elton - Chart throb, wold recommend it if you like X factor and reality TV) and packed some of my suitcase for the journey home.
